A fellow blogger turned me on to Crowd Ignite some time ago. It is the boxes you will see under my comment section. They have always been above the section but I recently moved them there to test out a few things. I usually average between 20-50 hits per day, and as you can see on this graph one day I hit 120. That is equivalent to 600-1500 hits per month from them. I think this is a pretty good trade off for adding it to my site.
Drive Traffic to Your Site with Crowd Ignite
I have found that I do have to maintain my own pages which means I add and delete pages. However for this group of stats above I didn’t change any pages in a good month. I just recently went in and analyzed my pages via Google Analytics to see which ones were getting good hits. I deleted those that were not and adding some new ones.
The way that it works is these pages I’ve added to my Crowd Ignite account will show up on other blogs and hopefully bring in some traffic. The Crowd Ignite on my blog showcases fellow bloggers as well. I have found Crowd Ignite the most family friendly of its kind. I’ve tried a few other companies but prefer them by far. Here is a screen capture showing my traffic from Crowd Ignite for the past 30 days. You can see I’ve received 1500 hits based on the two different referral links listed.
I really love this form of advertising it is a give and get. I send traffic your way you send it my way. Hopefully those that land on your blog will continue to stay. There is a credit system where you receive 1 credit for each visitor your blog sends through Crowd Ignite. The more credits you have the more traffic that is sent your way. However when your credits are depleted you still receive traffic just not as fast. The stats above are all on ZERO credits. So what you are seeing is numbers based on no money, no credits, and no up keep. Not bad for a little set of boxing added to your site.
When I first read about Crowd Ignite over share by my friends, I wasn’t really sure what it was all about. Crowd Ignite is kind of like a traffic exchange – you place an ad on your site and then they send folks back. Obviously more traffic = more money, so if you are monetizing your blog this is a great way to get some momentum going on your blog. These visitors are finding your blogs by clicking on pictures/titles of your articles, so they are visitors that will actually want to read your site – not just spam bots stopping by to hike up your numbers. They give you “credit” for each person you send to them, and you can see it on their site via live stats. It’s a pretty nifty little set up.
